Hanover, Eilenriede

Forest bathing in Hanover

The group programme "Forest Bathing - Shinrin Yoku" takes you on a relaxing walk through the Eilenriede, Hanover's extensive city forest. Inspired by the Japanese practice of Shinrin Yoku, the conscious experience of nature takes centre stage. The forest with its healing atmosphere activates important immune cells in the body.

Procedure of the tour

The 2.5-hour tour starts at the Lister Tower and is led by Verena Kayser. In small groups of 6 to 10 people, you stroll mindfully through the Eilenriede, lingering at selected places and taking in the surroundings with all your senses. This form of experiencing nature has been proven to promote well-being and support health prevention.
