This guided bike tour invites you to discover Hanover from a unique perspective – following in the footsteps of Gottfried Wilhelm Leibniz. Together with your guide, you will explore the city’s most significant sites and learn why Leibniz remains a symbol of curiosity, knowledge and visionary thinking to this day.
Through a series of varied exhibits, you will discover how a highly gifted child grew up to become one of Europe’s most influential thinkers. Fascinating stories from his life are interwoven with surprisingly vivid insights into mathematics, philosophy and science.
The stops on the tour include the Leibniz House, Leineschloss, St John’s Church in Neustadt, the Gottfried Wilhelm Leibniz Library, the Leibniz Temple and the University. Along the way, you’ll discover, for example, a replica of the first calculating machine for the four basic arithmetic operations and learn more about Leibniz’s ideas, which continue to shape our world to this day.
Of course, there’ll be plenty of time to relax and enjoy yourself: during the tour, you’ll stop off for a refreshing drink, which is included in the price.
