Historical crime tour through Hanover's old town and city centre
The crime tour "On the trail of crime" offers an informative opportunity to explore the dark chapters of Hanover's history. The tour leads through the old town and city centre and sheds light on historical criminal cases at the original locations.
Tour programme and stops
The tour starts at the Tourist Information Centre at Ernst-August-Platz 8 and lasts around 2 hours. During the tour, various locations associated with famous criminal cases are visited, including the case of the serial killer Fritz Haarmann and, according to legend, the Hanebuth loot warehouse. Participants will gain informative insights into the city's criminal history.
Historical insights
Among other things, the tour sheds light on the case of the serial killer Fritz Haarmann, who was up to mischief in Hanover in the 1920s.
