Leibniz tour - On the trail of the polymath

This city tour invites you to get to know Hanover from a special perspective - through the life and thoughts of Gottfried Wilhelm Leibniz. We encounter his name throughout the city and to this day it stands for curiosity, knowledge and the search for the big picture.

At selected stations, you will experience how a highly gifted child became one of the most influential thinkers in Europe. You will not only encounter exciting biographical insights, but also surprisingly vivid ideas from maths, philosophy and science.

Places such as the Leibniz House, the Leineschloss or the Neustadt Court and City Church of St Johannis provide the setting for stories about an eventful life between research, politics and European exchange.
