From the 2 November 2025 to 4 January 2026 the GOP Varieté-Theater Hannover presents the children's book classic Jim Button and Luke the Engine Driver onto the stage as a lovingly staged family musical. The new production - with music by Konstantin Wecker and the handwriting of the late playwright Christian Berg - celebrates the 65th anniversary of the book's publication.
On an adventure with Jim Knopf - the children's musical experience at the GOP
With rousing songs, humorous dialogue, colourful costumes and artistic accents, the ensemble takes children aged four and over and their families into the fantastic world of Lummerland. A heart-warming experience full of humour, excitement and fantasy that delights young and old alike and gives the story of the popular children's book classic a new lease of life.
