Culinary city tour through Hanover's old town and city centre
The culinary city tour "Hanno(ver)nascht! Altstadt/Innenstadt" offers an informative opportunity to get to know the gastronomic diversity of Hanover's old town and city centre. The tour leads through the historic streets of these parts of the city and introduces traditional pubs, cosy cafés and local restaurants.
Tour programme and stops
The tour starts at the Tourist Information Centre on Ernst-August-Platz and lasts around 3 to 3.5 hours. During the tour, five selected stops are visited where sweet and savoury food and drinks are offered for tasting. The stops include the Anna Leine coffee house, the Hanover market hall and various eateries in Kramerstraße.
Historical and cultural insights
In addition to the culinary aspects, the tour also offers informative insights into the history and culture of the old town and city centre. Participants learn interesting facts about the development of these neighbourhoods, the architecture of the Wilhelminian era and the significance of places such as the market hall, the New Town Hall and the Market Church.
