The culinary neighbourhood tour "Hanno(ver)nascht! Südstadt" offers an informative opportunity to get to know the gastronomic diversity of Hannover's Südstadt neighbourhood. The tour leads through the charming streets of this district and introduces traditional eateries, cosy cafés and local restaurants.
Tour programme and stops
The tour starts at the Marienstraße/Henriettenstift underground station and lasts around 3 to 3.5 hours. During the tour, five selected stations are visited where sweet and savoury food and drinks are offered for tasting.

In addition to the culinary aspects, the tour also offers informative insights into the history and culture of Südstadt. Participants learn interesting facts about the development of the neighbourhood, the architecture of the Wilhelminian era and the significance of places such as Marienstraße and the Henriettenstift.
