The ornate gardens in Hanover are not only a testimony to courtly garden design, but also a place of botanical diversity and creative sophistication.<\/p><h2>The Great Garden - A Baroque masterpiece<\/h2><p>The Great Garden forms the centrepiece of the Herrenhausen Gardens. It was modelled on French gardens in the 17th century and its baroque structure has been almost completely preserved to this day. This clarity and symmetry make it a particularly attractive destination for guided group tours.<\/p><p>Wide avenues, clipped hedges, water basins and ornamental flowerbeds provide an ideal setting for a guided tour with a historical-architectural focus. Particularly impressive is the large fountain, whose water jet shoots up to 80 metres into the air - an engineering feat that is still based on pure water pressure today.<\/p><h2>Group tours with in-depth knowledge<\/h2><p>During the Herrenhausen tour for groups, you can expect a knowledgeable guided tour that goes into both architectural details and historical contexts.
